Gerry Green Plaza Use of Facility Form

Use of the Plaza must be in writing on official letterhead and received by the Authority no less than thirty (30) days prior to the first scheduled date of the proposed event(s).

Requests must be accompanied by a copy of the authorizing resolution adopted by the governing body or board of the organization containing a description of the event inclusive of the number of participants, the proposed date(s) and any proposed rain date(s).

Additionally, requests must be accompanied by:

  • A copy of the IRS’s letter approving its 501c3 non-profit status
  • Copy of authorizing resolution

Upon approval you will need to provide:

  • Payment of $350.00 per day for four hours of usage of the Plaza (as per resolution 69-2023)
  • Notarized Hold harmless
  • Certificate of insurance naming the Union County Improvement Authority as the additional insured with valid liability coverage of $1,000,000

The Authority will respond to all requests for use of the Plaza in writing after receipt of the above documents. From there, the package will be sent to County Police Department for its review to determine if a security plan, is needed. A separate cost and deposit may be required.

FYI – if approval is granted, a notarized hold harmless will need to be executed and a valid certificate of insurance evidencing appropriate liability coverage in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for the event date(s) and any rain date(s) naming the Union County Improvement Authority as an additional insured no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the first scheduled date of the proposed event will be required.

Use of the Plaza shall be restricted to the hours of 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and daylight hours on weekends and legal holidays. Access to the restroom facilities or any other portion of the Gerry Green Building will not be permitted. Access to the parking deck adjacent to Gerry Green Building is not permitted as it is unattended during non-business hours. No vehicles are to be parked or driven on the Plaza. All event activities must be conducted in a manner which does not hinder the quiet use and enjoyment of the Tenants. Additionally, any and all event materials and refuse shall be removed immediately following the conclusion of a scheduled event by the organization utilizing the Plaza.
